Hmmm…This Twitter thing is kind of creepy
I’ve been hearing about Twitter for quite some time. Knew that it was kind of an IM/Blog/SMS thingy, but had no real idea what it’s about.
So, after reading that Dave Winer has questions about it, I took a look. Okay, you can set up an account and then more or less continuously update what you’re doing, so other people can follow along and more or less know what you’re doing at any given time? How is that not creepy?
Work uses, if users and viewing rights are maintained, like project management? Sure. Makes sense.
Otherwise, it’s a little lot like stalking. At the very least, its appeal seems to me to be a bit really narcissistic.
