Nothing like a good TBS lyric
This one’s playing in the car’s CD player a lot these days (Jamie likes 3 or 4 of the tracks - a nice break from ‘toon music). The Beautiful South’s latest, Gaze has plenty of irony and cutting lyrics. One of my faves is Let Go With the Flow:
The superfly guy that you’re courting now
Used to be a super-swot
And the clothes he thinks look retro
Are more ‘Land That Time Forgot’
And if he knows where he was standing
When J.F.K was shot
Chances are though time’s passed him by
He’s still standing within yards of that spot
Harsh, but in a good way.
Not related to your blog entry, but I’ve returned to the Mac fold. My iPod is keeping me company and my PB is on its way…it’s in Alaska right now. Hallelujah! (Did I spell that right?) And yes, I may still use my PeeCee, but not if I can help it.
