The U.S. is bracing for a big one. And I’ve gotta tell you, I’m with Dennis Miller on this one. We need to start acting much more looney to get some of these peoples’ attention. Terrorists think they can threaten us with impunity because they think we’re too soft and compassionate a people to absolutely go nuts anymore.
They’re really, really, wrong about that. But by the time they find out they’re wrong about us, it’ll be too late for them, they’ll be little charred lumps of ash and we’ll be waking up with a hangover going “oh no, what did I DO last night?”
We need to appear to these people a little more wide-eyed and crazy so we don’t get pushed there.
Whether it’s bin-Laden or North Korea, we’ve got to stop acting like we’d never use all these nukes we’ve built. The more reticent we seem to be to use them, the more likely we’ll have to.
