Saw Lord of the Rings: Return of the King a couple nights ago. A Crowning achievement. Peter Jackson did a wonderful job in getting the books to the big screen. Departures from Tolkien’s work minor and completely forgivable.
Peter Jackson need never make another movie to be included in the greatest of all time.

The Left Behind series of books that takes readers from Rapture to Armageddon is possibly one of the worst reasons for killing trees since man started making paper. They’re complete tripe and garbage, with so many logical holes and horribly insulting bigotry, if I didn’t know better, I’d probably pass them off as well-written vanity [...]
