Wow, 8 Simple Rules to continue
Even after John Ritter’s death, the show will go on. Man, this is tacky. The show’s a comedy, for God’s sake. ABC got huge ratings with a Ritter tribute.
Honoring a great artist or getting their money’s worth?

Man that’s really week. John Ritter was the star and it was kind of his show. Cheers replaced the coach guy when he died, but he wasn’t the star. Then there was that guy on Suddenly Susan who committed suicide and then the show sunk, but it was a bad show anyway. News Radio couldn’t pull it off after Phil Hartman’s death.
It would be one thing if the actor quit and the storyline was that the character died, but this is just in bad taste. I’d say the odds are against them.
